Q
1454 10/14/2004 2:27:19 PM 10/19/2004 Doug86 93 Newell I think you will love the coach. I bought an 86 model last year. Other than some cosmetic work, it is an outstanding coach. Congratulations on your purchase. You will be learning a lot about it for a while. I keep finding things I didn't expect.

Doug

1456 10/15/2004 10:33:26 AM 10/19/2004 tommy klie tommy@westcliffeinc.com minimum charging amps What is the minimum amps required to keep the batteries charged? With the "box" that comes with the coach, you can use 20 -30 or 50 amps. When I store the coach I turn off refrigator and all a/c, heat and fan. Can I just use the 20 amp plug to keep the coach alive. Also, if the coach's batteries are dead, can you jump just the generator. Where are those electric lines for jumping. Finally, if this coach Unit Number 435 needs to be towed, can the tower lift the front end and tow. However, my putting it in neutral will towing hurt the transmission...Thanks for you help

Q
1458 10/21/2004 7:04:40 PM 10/22/2004 Bob Fetters jf3brand@idcomm.com 93 Newell We are very pleased with our new purchase. It is able to maintain Interstate Highway speeds over some very steep grades here in Colorado. Very impressive performance indeed. ~~ Every day we discover something new about how it functions. Lots of fun to be sure.

Ken newell classic@aol.com Generator Noise..... Noise Generator? I have 76 and 78 Classics. The 76 has a 7500 watt Kohler gas gen. and does ok, but louder than the 12.5 diesel in the 78. The 76 has 3 40 watt solar panels with a 2k inverter and has no problems keeping up, so I think that might be another option. My 78 with the 12.5 does fine also with 2 airs. I will be adding solar and a 2200 watt Pro-sine inverter. I agree with Newell Tech that a 7500 watt of any type isn't really the ticket for your coach unless you go with some other changes. The big gens are really expensive, thats why I opted for solar and inverter.

I have added a newer improved insulation and now have half the noice on the diesel gen.
