Default 30 days out in our Newell!

Left Oklahoma yesterday for our trip..I think I packed everything but the kitchen sink!
Day 2 was spent in Santa Fe, NM riding around on 4 Wheeler playing in a dried up river bed looking for rocks.
Day 3--Still trying to decide which way we are going! LOL
Only plans we have are to be in Crater Lake area July 10 and Portland July 17.

Matt, how did you like Santa Fe Skies? Are you going to store your coach in Reno again this winter?

Pam, we are jealous, but not for much longer. We'll be coming through Oklahoma next Spring.

Tom, I've got an extra 30amp box with its own breaker switch I can UPS to you....if you had at least 30amps to offer you might tempt more to come through in the spring and summer....haha!

Tom and Darlene

Thanks so much for the invitation! Looks like in the morning we will be heading to Co and spend the weekend. Stayed another day in Santa Fe!

Hot weather doesn't bother us...We are use to it since we live in OK.

Maybe next time we are in NM we can plan on stopping by!

If you are ever in OK we have a full hook up, concrete pad, with 50 amp, swimming pool, hot tub and a nice place to sit and visit...so please feel free to come see us if your in OK!!

Thanks again,
Pam

Hi Pam,

What part of Colorado will you be visiting? We are in Southern Colorado Pueblo area.

Hi Erika!

We pulled into Gunnison tonight around 8 PM.
Wow..forgot how high the passes are here in CO! Monarch pass was 11,312 ft! We took 285 from Santa Fe and very pretty drive but I don't like it that high! LOL
We are planning on staying here a few days then heading up to Crater Lake to spend some time with family then going on to Portland then the dreaded trip home.

Gunnison is a beautiful area. How the 60 Series do going over the grade? You guys are on a great trek it sounds. We recently visited a similar path up in the NW. Have lots of family up there too. Use to camp all over Oregon, especially the central area.

Matt,
Portal is an odd campground. You enter through what appears to be an old KOA. The "owner sites" are in the rear. The roads are paved with rolled curbs. They are nicely landscaped. The site we were in was probably the biggest site I've ever had. Then they have two three story rv homes that are built on the back row. The pool is small, but nice. Same goes for the spa. View of the desert mountains to the west. Not my favorite campground, but would definitely return. Wish I was there as we were close to 100 today.

Hi Pam,

Ok your not to far from us. how many days will you be staying in Gunnison? You are about 150 miles away, maybe we could get together and express1 could take a quick drive and we can all meet in Gunnison

Erika

Sorry we missed you while in CO. Didn't get online the last night that we were in CO to get the message. We left there and went on to UT and now sitting in Idaho for a few days, then off to OR for 2 weeks. Just sorry we missed out! But if your ever in OK let us know...would be happy to have guests! :-)
