Default Sharp Convection Microwave

My Sharp Convection Microwave quit working. It was manufactured in Feb of 1998. The model was R-930-AK. Surprisingly the unit is still manufactured & available. I was able to replace it with the exact match that was manufactured in March of 2010.

Hope it doesn't happen, but if it does...................

Steve,

Mine is the same model. It is truly amazing that the same model of any appliance is manufactured next year, let alone 10 or more years later. I have had the chore of replacing a few of those convention/microwaves for myself and others. The ones I have done are free hanging with nothing under them. I think it would be much easier to replace the ones in our coach since they actually sit on a shelf, although I can live just fine without finding out. Thanks for the interesting information. Russ

The sharp microwave convection oven has a fuse behind the control panel. Fairly easy to replace. All the ovens that I have seen fail simply blew the fuse.
