Default Thinking of selling our 1993 39 foot

Since we started fulltiming my wife and I are thinking of moving up to a 45' newer Newell.
Not really looking for slides (unless a really great deal in nice shape comes up).
Got our eye on a couple already so want to post ours here before we put it at a consignment lot.
Our Newell is 39' in good shape, runs great, front tires new in 2009, rear tires new last year with all rear studs changed. Heated cork floor in bath. VMSPC with netbook. 32" Vizio in front, rear has 15" flat screen. In-motion KVH satelite dish. New recliner. 240watts of solar panels on roof. Progressive surge protector installed last year. New baseboard heaters in bedroom. All 3 basement air conditioners are upgraded to new circuit boards & digital thermostats. Batteries are about 5 years old and have Pulsetech conditioners installed. New Dometic refrigerator installed in 2011.
I do have oil analysis records.
PM me if you are interested and we'll discuss price.
Thanks

Beautiful coach forest, I wanted to say that if you plan on camping in state/national parks then your 39' Newell is perfect since most national parks can't accommodate coaches above 40ft. Now, if this is not the case then by all means trade up because there are deals to be had on used Newell's if you can hold out.

Wow, it is really polished up! Forest shows a lot of pride in his Newell for sure.

I'm thinking about what your saying as well Sean and that is what I've been talking to the wife about on sizes. We were going to hold out for a two or three slide deal but now we are looking at buying a resort in South America and wouldn't want too expensive of a coach stored in Florida or Texas wasting away waiting for our return stays.

We do like state parks and will miss that but we want more room. And feel now is a good time to move up.
Just hope we can sell this one without too much trouble.

What's kind of crazy is over the years on this forum there have been many people wanting to stay under 40 feet and closer to 35-36 feet. And now Bigger is Better!!!!?????

That is an extremely nice coach.

My next question is has Newell ever built any 40 footers with slides or is that out of the question? Our bus is 40 foot and we love the price of the state parks for $15 and evenn less per night versus double to quadruple what the privates and resorts charge.

Jay, yes they did build about 5 40' with slides. There was one that sold about a year or so ago for under $200k.
But if one would come up for sale now it would probably sell really quick. I'd try and be first in line!
There more 43 footers with a slide or two.
But really what we need now is more storage space. So we're looking for a 45' with 1 or 2 slides or without slides.
Anybody interested? I've been offered $40k on a trade but would rather sell it ourselves.

I understand where your coming from Forest but it's hard to beat 10 bucks a night when staying at state parks. What years exactly are you hoping to get into and what's your budget?

We're looking at 1996 through 1999 or so. Doesn't matter if it has slides or not, since it's just the two of us a no-slide would be ok. Definately want 1 sofa with recliner and desk (not 2 sofas).
Our budget ranges from $80 for no-slide to $120 for 2 slides, and we can pay cash. It needs to be in ready to travel condition since we're fulltiming and don't have a place to work on it.

hello,

What's your asking price. DW has been hinting of a newer Newell Coach.

This is a bargain for this coach! Forest has priced his coach right. This guy has a great understanding of the market and knows where he needs to be as a buyer and a seller.

Here is some info:
Our coach is a 1993 39' Newell with a Detroit Diesel 8V92TA, Allison 740 4-speed transmission with approximately 93,000 miles, generator is a 12.5KW Kohler diesel with approximately 1800 hours.
Features: VMSPC engine monitor, backup camera (new in 2010), tire monitor for all 6 tires, CB radio, AM/FM/CD radio, Ultraleather driver & passenger power seats (both have air-ride suspension), KVH in-motion satelite dish, TV antenna, DVD/VHS player, Vizio 32"LCD TV front, Sharp 15" LCD TV bedroom, leather sofa, new Lazyboy recliner. Most interior lights have been changed to LEDs.
Galley has 2 burner Gaggenau propane stove, Sharp convection microwave oven, Dometic gas/electric refrigerator (new in 2011), small refrigerator/freezer, U-line icemaker (presently unhooked), Levelor miniblinds on all windows, wood floors in front, ceramic tile in galley, heated cork floor in bath & bedroom, Kenmore stacked washer/dryer.
Shade screens for outside of windshield & driver & passenger window. Zipdee main awning, Zipdee awnings for all other windows.
Raritan 20 gallon electric with engine assist water heater (new in 2010), water tank 150 gallons, waste tank 150 gallons, heated water compartment.
Propane tank 60 gallons (1/2 full), diesel tanks: main 200 gallons, auxilliary generator tank 65 gallons.
Engine runs great, transmission great, generator great. Changed water pump on engine in December 2012. Had radiator steam cleaned in April 2012, had coach on lift and checked out entire undercarriage. Shocks, brakes, air bags, air tanks all looked good. Had bearings repacked and chassis lubed.
I change oil & filters, fuel filters yearly in the winter, service just completed.
