Default What year did Newell Coach start under bed storage lifts?

Hopefully I am saying this right. I'm wondering in what year was the bed lifting mechanism available on a Newell RV as an option? I have seen some with and some without. The ones without, seemed to have the bed at the rear over the engine and the two I seen with were sideways beds.

My 1993 has the bed over the engine and has a factory air ram to lift the bed.

My 1992 has an electric operated bed lift cylinder.

I'm guessing sometime after they went to the wide body. All those prior that I have seen were equipped with drawers. Some of the twins you could lift the beds manually and access storage. Somebody with a late 80's would have to verify this. So far we know '92 and later offered it unless it was upgraded by the factory at some later date?

good question i was wondering about this. yall have some pics of your under bed storage? with an electric lift it should be pretty easy to access. you better have a light weight mattress if you gonna be manual lifting it.

That is a hefty cylinder that raises it up and then their are what a strut on each side? Nice Prosine too, do use the inverter/charger with solar panels? Another question if you don't mind; is your bed regular queen island over the engine or sidways?

Thanks for the information.

No side struts. I don't have solar panels. The bed is North/South (not sideways).

Our '82 has under the bed storage but does not have struts or any other helpful device to raise it. Queen size fore and aft walk-around.
