Default Rockin roll

A couple of the trim pieces on the bottom edge of my bay doors have come off. There are rivets on each end in addition to the double side adhesive. I noticed one of the rivets had come loose so I replaced it with a new 1/8" X 1/8-1/4" rivet. It seemed to grip until I shut the door a couple times. Has anybody else had this problem? Any ideas to fix it?

i have taken a few of the trim pieces off to remount them. are you talking about the aluminum piece maybe 6-8" high that runs the length of the bay door at the bottom?

on mine, they are trim taped on with a screw on each end that goes into the bay door as well.

once i have remounted them, it would take a log chain to get them off

Yeah,, You might call them rocker panel trim. Mine has a pop rivet at each end that goes from the back side into an 1/8" hole drilled part way into the cast aluminum trim. There is no visible fastener on the outside. I'm guessing that the P/O neglected to keep the struts changed so when the door dropped down onto their luggage it flexed the bottom edge enough to break the trim piece loose. Where do you get the "tape" that holds them on?
