Does Newell Coach make a coach with a fire place inside?
I have seen other RV's with fire places inside. I was looking through photos but didn't see any with a fire place. Has Newell Coach made a coach with a fire place?

Derek, I have only seen one so far and it belonged to a Indy car driver. I believe there is a picture in the gallery showcase but don't remember the year. Anything is possible if ordering a new one or depending on the layout you could add one.

And if you buy one without a fireplace, consult Newell first and they can look up the floorplan and tell they can add one for you. When I was trying to buy my Newell, I put a deposit on one subject to being able to add a vented washer/dryer combo. I contacted Newell and they told me that the only location that would hold one was the walk in mid closet between the bath and the bedroom and that it would have to be placed in such as way as to eliminate the usefulness of the closet entirely. I walked away from that Newell and found ours.

Newell will give you anything you want like Ken said if ordering a new coach!
Micheal do you mind sharing why you decided on not having Newell make those changes? Did the coach you decided to purchase have the washer/dryer combo already installed? or did you just decide it wasn't worth loosing the closet space they would have to eliminate to put the washer/dryer combo in?

We kept looking and found our current coach and it already had the washer/dryer combo built-in. We were going to be living in our Newell full time for a number of years and a washer/dryer was non-negotiable but losing the largest closet in the coach wasn't a do-able deal either. By looking further, we ended up with a 2 year newer coach, 1.5 feet longer, that met our needs much better. Only downside was it was significantly more expensive than the first one also.

In all the Newell's we have checked out in person or online have never had a fireplace as do other high end coaches. The wife has mentioned it would be neat and when the day comes on a fourty fiver maybe we'll just put one in.

Our Newell doesn't have a fireplace but having one would be a fun twist to our beautiful Newell. I saw this one online at Marathon Coach.
It's very charming and cozy.

Hugo and Glo, that is very cool. Something like this would not take up much for room in a coach. There are obviously ways to incorporate a faux type fireplace like this into a Newell and why not? It would make for a cozy atmosphere.
Michael, I never told you but if they would have accepted my offer on your coach you would be owning a different Newell. Some things are meant to be and I ended up with the older unit that I wish I'd never bought and never I've never exposed these crooks who ripped me off.

Yeah, I thought they were going to accept my offer then all of a sudden the cosigner pulled the unit had some things upgraded to include changing out the blue leather with gray. That is one of the things my wife wanted to change too. Next thing I know you showed up on here as the new owner. I just told my wife your story about the consideration of an older coach and how our deal flip flopped and we ended up with a older money pit of a Newell from this Texas dealer who hid all kinds of stuff.

I found it at California Coach on consignment. I almost didn't get it. I was second backup. There was a gentleman who couldn't get his load approved, then there was someone who flew out from the east coast, test drove it and decided it was too large and then I was next in line so I got it. Sorry that the Newell you bought didn't work out the way you hoped.

I have a load of pictures of it inside and out from before. Now that I think of it, you bought it quite a bit later after I had been negotiating on it. I had went back and forth with the owner of the Orange County dealership for a good couple of weeks, then I called him back to make my final offer and he informed me the owner picked it up and sold it and that the buyer was redoing some things on it including changing the blue out for grey, and then that guy was flipping it. I kind of wondered if California Coach was the ones that bought it or were the just brokering it for a wholesaler of sorts? It's a small world of Newell ownership. lol Either way you picked up a great coach and I missed the boat and how many years later am waiting for that prize Newell to surface.
Something I might add is the blue was still in great condition, just didn't match what the boss wanted and her being an interior designer down in southern California, you get what I mean.

I understand that someone did buy it, redo the interior and then listed it with California Coach. I have never met the guy that owned it when I bought it. California Coach is consignments and does not own the coaches. I would highly recommend California Coach to anyone. Incidentally, they also sold Newell #283 (Al Unser Sr.'s coach) to Larry about a year later.

I have never heard anything bad about California Coach and heard they move a lot of Prevost conversions. They obviously know how to get them sold. Isn't it ironic that Larry's coach is only two numbers off from yours and is resold by the same cosigner.

One can be added like they have done in this motorhome below.
Freestanding Fireplaces for Use on the Road
Some RVers enjoy the portability of free standing electric fireplaces, styled like cast iron stoves. These models offer the convenience of no mess nor clean up after enjoying the flame effect. There is no need to wait around to make sure the fire is completely out before going to sleep or leaving the RV. The flexibility of an electric fireplace allows patios to be warmed on clear, crisp evenings, moved indoors to heat the RV sleeping area, then unpacked and placed into the owners home once your trip ends.
If you have pictures of a Newell Coach with a fireplace added please post one. I'd like to see it.
