Default zip dee awning problem?????

We had to replace the entire left arm that had been damaged. The previous owner said he did not use the awning and I guess we found out why. $272 dollars later we discovered this past weekend that the Zip dee awning is now forming water pockets in our first rain test. The awning is not leaking but I think it might if I don't do something about the pockets. Anyone had this problem before in their camping?

Sounds like the tension on the spring is inadequate and needs to be adjusted. See Zip Dee Maintenance for instructions.

The prior owner had put brass gromets in all the low spots to drain the rain.

The standard ZipDee main awning has three groumets just in from the roller tube. Are these what you are referring to or had additional grouments been added?

i bet if you re-tension the awning....it is quite easy to do as i did my main awning, it will fix it. zip dee tech support is very nice if you call them for advice as well.
