How much Horsepower ?

I happened to be checking somethings in the RH engine compartment & noticed a tag on the RH valve cover. Among other things it listed "designed" HP 450. I could have bet I had read it had 500. Went to the other side & the LH valve cover tag stated "adv" HP 500.
