Default I-40 west of Albuquerque construction

Passed through Albuquerque yesterday. Stopped at Camping World for a break.
There is road construction for about 10 miles just past there. The eastbound lanes of I-40 are closed and redirected onto the westbounds lanes. Eastbound you have 2 lanes, westbound you are driving on the shoulder fighting the broken asphalt, rumble strips, potholes on the side. An 18 wheeler in front of me almost lost it when he veered too far to the right and hit some broken asphalt.
If you go that way take exit 149 and the frontage road to the next on ramp (exit 140) where construction ends.

Thanks for the update Forest. We were originally planning to head west on I-40 through Albuquerque the end of this week but had a change of plans and will go back to Austin for a few weeks then head west on I-10.
