Default Air Conditioning

Newell used to boast about offering central air rather than having several roof mounted units. Is this no longer the case?

A critical factor in a properly designed central air system is the ductwork. The incorporation of multiple slide-outs greatly interfers with a proper layout for the supply air ducts in the side walls of the coach. A good supply air duct system is all but impossible in a four-slide coach. Since the majority of orders for new Newells specifiy four slide-outs, roof air conditioners has become the system of choice. The tranisition to roof a/c's was aided by the new roof designs that all but hide the a/c's from sight.
