Default Classic Newell Windshields

I had two new windshields installed in my 87 Newell Classic today. The glass shop had some dificulity locating the glass, the first two windshields had defects, the second set was good. I was surprised that they were made in China by Fuyao Glass Industry Group which I was told was PPG. The P/N for the Drivers side was DW00731 GTNFYG, the windshield had P/N W731 on it, the passenger side was DW00730 GTNFYG the windshield had P/N W730 on it. I am pretty sure they were manufactured for a mid 80's GMC Astro cab over truck. I purchased a new seal from Newell they only have 1 left now; they were not able to supply the lock strip. The glass shop was able to supply the lock strip, I cut the label off the box and assuming it was the right box for the seal it was made by Cooper Standard Automotive, catalog no. 75000687 their phone number is 800-333-3267 they are located in Novi MI. The installer was a real pro, did the job in just over 1 hour; total cost was $904.67.

Hi Tom, my coach is a 96" wide and does not have the center insert as the 102" coach does.

Brian, I had a 78 and got the windshields from Newell about 9 years ago. At that time it was the only place you could them, because Newell had a lock on them. You did a great job of tracking down everything you needed.
