Heater core or the water pump lines leaking
can anyone help me put in a bypass at the engine area on a Detroit 60. Need to locate the water pump and its lines that go up front to the heater core and install a bypass. we don't use the engine heater and don't want to get stuck on my way to Newell in three weeks..

Thanks for any help

I think you aready have cut offs in the engine area for the upfront heater core. Look for heater hose in the engine compartment. They should be 3/4 hoses the come off cut offs.
Hope this helps

Thanks Ron... Any idea where I should look for them ? Are they round spicket type handles and are there more than one that I should turn off ? Uner the engine ? The side ?

From the back it should be on the left side of the engine on the back side of the water pump. Mine is a spicket type and you should be able to cut the water supply off that run to the heater core. Hope you have one.
