Aluminum siding question
Why won't the aluminum siding on my Newell polish up. I want to make the non painted areas shiny so I went out and bought everything to polish the sides and it will not shine any different. Any ideas Newell owners? Is there like a coating or something over the metal?

Hi Sparky, to answer your question on the aluminum finish, there is a clear finish on the natural aluminum areas on your Newell. The finish is on the aluminum to keep it lower maintenance so it doesn't have to be polished. It is funny that you asked this, I had the same question a couple of years ago when I purchased my first Newell and I tried to polish the sides to no avail. It will just retain a satin type polish level.

Prepairing to paint our 71 and contacted Newell,Jerry Allen about clear coat on the coach. It's a coat of Imron 5000 clear. This is why after 35 years our coach still shines. James
