90 and up Newell door designs?

Would be interested in finding out what years Newell installed the sliding entry doors? I'm sure it was sometime after the body change in 1990? Can anyone explain how this unit functions?

I believe the articulated entry door became available in 2001. I have seen 2001 models with this door and don't recall seeing it on previous models. The door is air-operated. Here is a photo of the hinge mechanism of a Newell in for service work at the factory.

That air operated door is the coolest thing that I have seen in a long time. I love those doors.

The Executive step is also a nice touch; solid as a rock!
