elusive air leaks
i am on the quest to find them and fix them.
i spent the morning at the bus shop.
1. replace air dryer (old one was leaking)
2. change the two tag brake quick release valves (they were leaking)
3. put 3 new rope pull drain valves on the round tanks (one in back and two up front). one of them was leaking too.
4. while it was jacked up i took out the front 6 solenoids on the leveling 6 pack and changed the o rings, cleaned up the manifold, lubed it up and pt it back together.
5. last week i changed the parking brake valve.
so now the supply side holds pretty steady and the airbags do not appear to be dropping at all when in level mode.
my brakes are still slightly leaking though i cant hear anything. so still have to find another leak.
the two tanks up front i put the pull cords for the tanks in the bay in front of the entrance door on the side. you can see the steel cables up on the wall of the bay.
for the back, it is in between the tag and drive wheels.

Paul: Good luck with the 02. You really should hook up with ENCANTOTOM in Mesa. He can steer you to a very good shop and is a good host to boot.

Paul, the shop is called "All Aboard America", or something very close to that. They have about 90 charter buses that they run, and also work on, in addition they work on private party coaches. Leo is Tom's guy there.....he is very sharp! Here is their website: http://www.allaboardamerica.com/web/phoenixmesa.aspx
