Default installing a tv in the bay to watch outside

i wanted to be able to watch tv or have the kids (adult now and their kids) play games outside.

i had a bbq in a sliding cabinet that took half of a bay. so, i removed it completely. i will get a smaller portable bbq.

i bought a sliding pivoting tv mount made just for bay mounting tv's in rv. it is by morryde.

i measured and the tv that fit the best was a 37". i bought it at costco (cant beat a 5 year warranty complete replacement for 30 bucks)

i made a template of the tv with cardboard to finalize the mounting of the sliding mount.

mounted it with eight 1/4" bolts with locknuts. it aint going anywhere.

there was an outlet in the bay next to it, but it was wired to the bay electric heater and not the inverter, so i needed to get power to it from the AV inverter circuit. the master bedroom closet is just down and on the same side as the tv bay. there is a plug in there that powers the bedroom tv so i decided to tap into it. i ran a romex from there, through the chases in the closet, down the corner in a chase. i had to take the closet top and drawers apart to get to the floor. i ran it through the floor and along the roof of the adjacent bay with the other wires to get to the tv bay.

i used wire loom to run it and a coax and cat5e cable i had run to that bay in preparation when i redid all the low voltage wiring a couple of years ago.

put a switched outlet below the tv (so i can turn the outlet off and not have the tv consume standby power) and ran another single gang box next to it for the coax and cat5e. ( i have the box cover on it now. it shows wiring hanging out in the pictures.

i had to remove the front tv inside to adjust some cabling for the bay tv (darlene was thrilled about helping me do that)

i mounted the bay tv and sat outside in the driveway and ate dinner.

you say why cat5e cable? i have an IR distribution system in the coach. the cat5e runs to it so i could control things from outside.
