Default Looking for Newell emblem

Looking for Newell Emblem for the ole’ 74. By looking at the attached photo.. Best I could find may not be corect for 74'… It appears that it may be in script..
Any thoughts?? I tried Newell…nada…

I would hate to show up somewhere and not have the coach properly identified!!!

The top one is actually a picture of mine that Michael took when we were down in Newport Beach over New years in January of '09.

Thought you would notice that Clarke. I never met the owner of the coach with the other emblem. It was in Westminster.

Jimmy, I don't have any idea of the cost but a good metal shop or possibly a trophy shop could probably create one for you but it wouldn't be cheap. Let me know if you would like me to get you a higher res copy of that photo. I have a 3008 x 2000 pixel 2.6 meg file.

If you can find someone with the proper one that will temporarily loan it to you, you can get a mold making kit from a art or craft store and make a mold that will allow you to produce a plastic replica of the original that can be colored to match. No it won't be as strong as the metal one but it probably will work fine and be a whole lot cheaper. I've been thinking about doing the same thing for the missing arrowheads at the ends of the black rub strips on the coach sides.

Thanks Jon for the Idea ... All I have now is a Photo.. Thinking about taking it to Quick Signs for a Temporary Fix I called the previous owners Family they say they don't recall ... It's most likley a Desk Ornament Somewhere....

I had been thinking about some of the things mentioned above. I have that emblem and I have mold making material (if its still good). I have made replacement OEM parts for years. I just need to squeeze out some extra time. This is what I love to do in my spare time. If there were others needing the same thing, they could share in the cost. Then they have to be spray chromed. All depends on timing and how much of a hurry your in. I guess you could go with a decal for the time being?

I agree with Clarke, the top one is like our '82. I saw a 70's Newell in AZ last year and it had an emblem like the lower pic.
I hope that this Forum can help, it is good to keep the "Classics" proper and you are doing a wonderful job of the Restoration.
