Default Outer wall sheathing

I am looking to add a larger awning to my 95 Newell. For those of you that have done renos what is the normal exterior plywood thickness used by newell that is behind the exterior alumium??? Just wondering for anchoring of the new awning.

I and Girard installed a 24 foot on my 96. You need to anchor from the inside of the coach and go all the way through the wall with plates. I also install a 20 foot zip dee on my 89. This one mounted with surface screws all on the outside. Mounting will depend on what awing you are using. Hope this help

There is no plywood immediately under the aluminum. A typical wall area is Aluminum, sprayed on foam, then the inside wall which is plywood (1/2" I think) The plywood is riveted to the inside of the wall "studs" or bows.
