Default really not needed but i wanted it tail pipe

ok, i know this has nothing to do with anything other than looking neat.

my turndown tailpipe on the s60 was aluminum and looked awful. so as i said before, when i was at fleetpride this week, a chrome turndown exhaust stack jumped into my arms. i had to cut off the mounting flange on it since it was the opposite for mounting onto my muffler. once that was done, i had already taken the old one off and i polished up the existing clamp with brasso and my drill and put the new tailpipe on. while i was down there i polished the other chrome pipe that was all sooty.

it looks like it should now....shiney.....

later

You know reality TV is the rage these days.

Ummmmmmm, let's see "Pimp my Coach?"

Seriously, mine is chewed up too, I just never got around to replacing it.

tom,

nice job! i have a quick question; has anyone had an exhaust tip re-chrome plated?

i was wondering how it turned out.

my exhaust tip is chrome but it is badly rusted and scratched. i would like to have it re-done buy i am afraid that it won't turn out good.

tuga, why go to the hassle? are you particularly emotionally attached to that one? you can get different lengths.

i paid 50 bucks for the one i got. it was 18" from end to end and i had to cut off about 3" or so. i am sure you can find one that doesnt need cutting off like i did.

Tom,

Can you please give me the link where you found it?

I'd like to order a new one.

i bought it in person off the shelf at a fleetpride parts store.

it was fleetpride 51817 5" id chrome 18" long stack pipe.

i cut about 3" off of it.

you have to see how long you need it to be. should be lots of places on line to get them.

i paid 45 bucks.

You are amazing Tom! I'm just going to start copying everything you do, if you don't mind. I hope to be thru Mesa in late March and will give you a call to see your progress.
