Default Using Sink Drain Cleaner

I have a very slow draining sink drain in my Newell. Can I use the same drain cleaner I use in my house, or is there a different product I should use? Or, do I need to remove and replace the drain?

You can use regular drain cleaners, Your pipes are the same plastic as home pipes. But I'd wait until I had some water in your tank (maybe half a tank) so the cleaner dilutes itself before it reaches the drain valve. Then dump the tank and run some water through the drain to make sure all of the cleaner is gone.

I would clean out the P trap, if that doesn't fix you right up, run a snake down into your tank. You're probably talking about less than 10' of drain pipe.

Not sure I would want drain cleaner in the holding tank, you might try Jon's idea and try to unclog your pipe.

You can also try boiling water on the stove in a large pot. Dump the boiling water down the drain.

Rich,

If all else fails, take the goose neck ( p- trap) off as it collects a lot of stuff.
