Diesel Engine Longevity
What would you say the service life of a diesel pusher is? How many miles before a major repair will be necessary? What's the life expectancy of a diesel engine?
Thanks,
Derek

Considering that most coach owners annually put few miles on their rigs, then engine should last a lifetime if properly maintained.

I would agree with Chester, maintenance is key and keeping the rear mounted radiators clean is especially key for those that have them. The V92 engines are very sensitive when overheated. The exception to lasting forever with good maintenance is the possible need for an inframe overhaul of the Detroit V92 series at about 250,000 miles. Other than that keep up the maintenance and hope for no just plain bad luck.
