Default mystery switch under drivers left dash

howdy, right at the drivers knee directly under the tranny shifter panel is this switch. it has an off detent and rotates like a light switch.

it doesnt seem to control any lights and i have no idea what it is. it looks original.

any ideas?

thanks

I have swith in same spot ( I think ? ) on my #582 2001 2 slides and was mistery to me ! we asked the original owner and he said it was for the getting over the bump and racing suspenssion ! its also called " NASCAR sw
itch" since nascar drivers who own Newell came out with the idea and Newell start making them in the coaches!

But again , yours looks like turning knob, but ours is switch , so it could be totally diferent switch!

I hope someon ewill get the right solution for you!

So glad I saw this! I get annoyed easily by that chime. Turning it down first thing when I go to the coach.
