'78 Newell Fuel Tank Leaking
My fuel tank has begun seeping diesel, apparently at the weld seams holding the mounting plates on the tank itself. Those mounting plates are L shaped, and flare out, providing a hole for bolting the tank to the frame of the coach. There is also considerable rust on the bottom of the tank, so I am assuming the tank needs replacement. We live in the DC area. The seep is probably less than a cup over a month long period as the Coach sits still. Don't know what we are losing while traveling. Recommendations for repair or replacement?

'78 Newell Fuel Tank Leaking - A good sheet metal shop should be able to remove and inspect the tank. If the rust is just on the surface, it may be possible to repair simply by rewelding the seams. Otherwise, you may need to have the shop fabricate a new tank.

HELLO,
YOU CAN ALSO USE A SLOSHING TANK SEALER. I USE IT ON AIRCRAFT, CALL AIRCRAFT SPRUCE 1 877 477 7823. YOU DO HAVE TO TAKE THE TANK OUT.
