Colorado Highway 24?

The Newell Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Southern California Posts: 1,018	Colorado Highway 24? Anyone have any experience on highway 24 from Interstate 70 down through Leadville, CO, and on to Salida? I'm wondering if there are any major grades, hairpin turns, etc, that I'll have problems with. Looks like there are some hairpins on Google Earth, but they don't look that bad. Anybody ever taken their Newell on this road?
