Genny volts reading

[The Newell]

My genny seems to be puting out 21 volts from the battery charging cables. Will this fry my 2 batteries or lights, pump etc in the newell?

Most lead acid batteries are fully charged at a resting stage of 12.6 to 12.8 volts.

Continued charging in excess of 14 volts will boil, and eventually destroy your batteries.

21 volts is also pushing the limits of your 12 volt appliances such as water pumps, lighting etc.
