View Full Version : 78 Newell speedometer ODO wont work

The speedometer on my '78 Newell works fine but the odometer doesn't. I put a new SW speedo in it and the Odometer doesn't work in that one either. Can anybody tell me where the ODO signal comes from?

Does you odometer read anything at all or never works period?

A response to Newell's TechTalk regarding a similar problem with an 1981 and a 1988 indicated that the sender unit was a gear driven unit mounted on the transmission. Since you have already replaced the head once, I would call Newell Tech Support and talk to them about your problem.
