Started up the Gen & heard a different sound. The pully on the blower was wabling. Took it off & the set screw had backed out & worn out the hub +/-.15. The root cause was the hub had been machined (narrowed) & about 20% of the set screw threads were exposed.
I'm thinking this could not be factory made, but?
Grainger had a replacement 6.25" vs 6" original OD P# 5RJE4 for $38.25.
The new hub is much thicker, but I was able to put the set screw on the outside vs inside on the original? & it works fine.
Word to the wise...............Check your set screw tightness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just discovered my blower bushings are shot. I can move the shaft around so with the help of my friend Francis we removed the blower from the bay. Sure enough the bushings were shot. Went to Grangier with model # in hand and ordered the replacement bushing.

Might be a good idea to check your generator blower shaft to see if it is loose. The bushings are cheap; replacing the blower is not.
