Does anyone have any info on whether it is possible to replace the Dometic fridge (12v-gas) with an 110V house fridge? If you can what make and do you need to change inverters to ture sine. Presently I have heart inverters on a 1996 coach.

Thanks in advance,

Nando,
I can't answer your question directly because I don't know how your coach is configured. I have a 110V refrigerator, a modified wave Heart inverter & six 8D batteries. This configuration serves me very well. If you have enough batteries you should be fine. Advantage to the Dometics is they are totally quiet. Disadvantages are cost and they don't cool as well in hot climates.

Hope this helps in your decision making.......................

I just replaced my fridge with another Dometic. I looked at 120VAC units and decided I'd just stick with the Dometic.
Check out www.compactappliance.com for quite a few 120VAC options.
