My wife and I want to spend two weeks in the Austin area to visit a friend and see the wild flowers. We are looking for a nice (but reasonable) campground w/fhu. We don't need computer hookup or wifi. but would be a plus.

McKinney Falls in South Austin is a nice State Park.

Or run 30 mins East to Bastrop State Park.

If you like wildflowers, check out the Ladybird Johnson wildflower
center. I think there's even an RV park there.

We have stayed at the Bastrop State Park and it's really forested with the nice pines and pretty easy to get to. I was prior to Newell ownership and don't remember if there would be any issues with taking limbs out or not, it did seem pretty wide open. Texas does a good job with their state parks. We stayed there for a while as we were thinking of moving to the area and buying some commercial property off the Ben White US70 which is a nice highway as a Newell will find it friendly.

La Hacienda RV Resort is on Lake Travis. It is the site of our first Newell mini rally. Fullltimer stayed there for many moons.
Thanks,
