Hi,

I want to run some new A/V cabling and network cabling from front to back in the interior of the coach. do you have to take all the panels off or can you run a stiff wire down as a chaser? any of you done this and have any advice in doing so?

secondary question is i noticed under the front end of the coach from the bottom that there are 4 1" white pvc pipes that look like wire conduits. are they and if so, where do they come out in the back?

thanks all. your advice helps alot.

Pulling the access covers is a lot safer. The chance of damaging an existing wire connection by forcing a stiff wire down the chaser is very 'high'.

Yes, the lower tubes are conduit, and because there are no connections within the tubes the use of an electricians snake is Ok

thanks John, i can see the front of the white pvc conduits, but couldnt see where they end up at the rear of the coach. was there a standard place that they ended? i even looked when i had it up on a lift and couldnt see.

so i guess they must end up in a bay somewhere. or at the front of the engine....

any guess?

thanks

Sorry about that - I missed seeing your question.

The plastic tubes start from the rear of the genset and run to the area in front of the rear axle. Some tubes will have breaks/junctions in the bay areas also.

There are also spare 12 volts wires running the length of the coach.

Securely fasten a piece of cloth to fishing line and suck it through that conduit with a shop-vac. You can then pull the wire through with the line!! :)

i have run new coax, cat5e cables down the passenger side chases now and will run an hdmi cable as well. this is from the front to the rear tv area. actually quite easy. now i am going to run new coax and cat5e t othe bay as well as running a new coax from the cable tv input port in the water bay to the front as the ones in the coach now are way outdated and old specs.
