Thanks to FMCA I purchased Michelin Tires for my coach and at a very reasonable price. Dealer wanted 746.00 per tire installed and through the Michelin Advantage Program the final cost per tire came down to 496.00 plus install charges at a Michelin dealer truck center for a significant savings. Point here is if your not a member of the FMCA Michelin Advantage Program you should be!!!!

Can you buy 365s ??

Yes, although Michelin says that the low volume of sales of 365's can result in tires that are older than we might prefer. However, I suspect that the same could be said for 365's purchased at retail.

I have recently got a quote on the new 365's through the FMCA program without a hitch. Never was told anything about a date problem by the particular dealer. Is this an understood problem?

I don't know if it is a 'understood problem' but a friend bought a pair of 365's and 6 of the smaller size for the rear. The rears had dates that were a few months old but the 365's were over a year old (about 18 months as I recall). He called Michelin and was told that if he didn't want to accept them, they would ship another pair to the dealer but they took whatever was on the shelf and they might be as old as the those. Apparently they make a manufacturing run and then wait until they are almost out to make another group so it is the luck of the draw. If they just made some, you get fresh tires, otherwise they may be a year old or more.

It's always easier to specify upfront that you don't want tires more than 6 months old, this way you don't have to worry about a dealer installing 2 year old tires ect.

Great program by the way and I highly recommend it!

I wish I would have known about this Michelin RV Tire Program and more this tire age date problem. In everyday life of auto ownership you could careless.
