How often should I change my windshield wipers?

With weather conditions and exposures in consideration it depends but I would say if not every 6 months, at least once a year to be safe.

Leeann, the only way you can get by longer is to stay out of the dry climates or desert area, carry a spare and change them when they quit performing properly. Of course hope your not in a rain storm when you discover they don't work properly. I have had wipers last 6 months to two years. As much as folks like Vegas, you may be changing them more often. And we know there is really nothing cheap about stopping in Vegas.lol!

I also put wiper covers on mine to help extend the life. They match my mirror covers and inside mount windshield cover.

I was thinking they were only used while sitting or storing the motorhome. What is the average cost of those wiper covers?

The life of your wiper blades can last longer. If you hear chattering or streaking and the wiper is doing a lousy job then you'll know the blade is overdue for a replacement. You should always keep replacements on hand in your coach.

Yes the protective covers are great. I think I paid something like $20.00 for the pair.

Mine came with the windshield and side window covers as a kit.

If my mind serves me correctly I got a combo kit for around $35.00 and it was the mirror and wiper covers. I believe it makes a big difference in the life of the wiper blades.
