We had an awesome night at the ASCS Warrior Regional Finals with Tony Stewart showing up to drive the #14 Office Depot Mobile One wing car. Tony came over for some fun at the Finale at the Valley and had a good butt kickin night. Tony had about four close calls on the turns trying to chase down the kid in the Kiowa Line Builders #28 car driven by the younger Jonathan Cornell on his home dirt. Cornell did take the win! The young man was Knoxville Raceways 2009 Rookie of the year. It was exciting meeting Tony Stewart at a sprint track on the same weekend he will be running in the Nascar Chase for the Sprint Cup at the Kansas Speedway in the Hollywood Casino 400 race. Sunday at noon will be another exciting day.

We also got to watch JJ Haley who came over to run the #77 wingless sprint car in a 25 lap main to actually take the win. JJ Haley is another proven well versed driver running on pavement but with a heart for the dirt like Tony Stewart. They both love doing it in the dirt!

Then there was another great meetup at the Finale in the Valley as I got to meet another Newell owner who is a sprint car racer living right up the road out of Savannah, MO the one and only Randy Hibbs running the gorgeous #2A Pure Romance sprint car. It was a wonderful pleasure to meet Randy and his wife Colette. They hooked us up with T-shirts and picture's of their race car. We talked about his very nice 1986 40' Newell Coach. They love there Newell but will not be using it at most races next year do to the length issue towing an enclosed race car trailer. They are going back to a semi with an enclosed trailer for the race car vs. the Newell and an open trailer. They both mentioned on the long weekends they will also take the Newell along.

I'll get some picture uploaded soon.

Here is a picture of Tony Stewart coming out of turn two on the back stretch in the #14 Office Depot Sprint Car at Valley Speedway. He pushed the hell out of that car. The dude does not flinch one iota after any close-calls of any sort, just barrels ahead like a pro should. After getting pounded in the car besides giving the car a pounding, the professional raced a day and a half later in a big Nascar Cup race. Just an amazing guy. You have to be impressed!

Ken, thank you for sharing. I like it! This only happens on very rare occasions. You got lucky seeing this boy perform on the dirt. Tony Stewart is a show in himself.
