With the weather rapidly cooling down for winter I noticed a large drop in cold tire inflation. So much so yeasterday morning (maybe down to 39 F. through the night) my tire pressure/temperature set off the low pressure alarm. As it was just below (1 PSI) the cold pressure I just drove for about a mile and the pressure bumped up a degree or two and it stopped. But this lower reading was 6 PSI lower than my set cold pressure.
Is it spec'ed at say 60 degrees normally or what?

Hi Sean,

Cold tire inflation is for "cold that day". Just as long as it is before you have driven the rig. So indeed, if it is 39 degrees out, you will have to add air if the last time you checked them was this summer and "cold" was 80 degrees.

VERY ROUGHLY figure 1 PSI/ 10 degrees F.
