Ron,

I see a lot of coiled hoses at campgrounds, As to the flat hose, don't waste your money! It lasted a couple of months, started leaking and was shot in five months :!?!?:

We kept for use 150 feet of white hose; (1) 25. (1) 50 and (1) 75 foot increments, purchased specifically designated for potable water. we also kept a 25 foot non-potable hose for general use.

Please for your safety and the safety of your family, please use a hose that is designated for potable water usage.

For city water we have the white water hose made for this type of use that is sold through Camping World and most Dealers and RV Supply Houses. Now for general cleanup we just carry a 25' cheap hose from Wal-Mart or some other discount hose.

Whatever type you go with make sure it is drinking water safe and phthalate safe.

I wouldn't go with the cloth hose we had one and like Sean said they spring leaks quickly. Good thing his lasted 5 months ours only lasted about 2 and it was a pain in the neck getting twisted up all the time. After it sprung leaks I was happy to throw it away! :thumbdn:

I don't normally shop at Wal-Mart, but they do have similar RV products to Camping World at a less expensive price and they have two different grade drinking water hoses.

I use a white hose coiled onto an electric reel. Very convenient. I also carry an extra 25' of white hose if an extension is needed.

We picked up a 50' length of White Hose, supposedly for Drinking Water. I use that and a Filter when filling our Freshwater Tank. We have an Reverse Osmosis Filtration System but still prefer to buy Spring Water for our Dogs.
Yes a cheaper hose for other uses like washing the car, coach, cleaning the holding tank or hosing off stuff.

Camco has a line of premium drinking water hoses. They are 20% thicker than other hoses.
