Don't forget the weight of the liquids in your RV when figuring out how much you're carrying...So, which is heaviest? (The answer is in the next post...DON'T CHEAT!!) Hint: one is twice as heavy as the other.

Answer to the weight question posted above:


Water is the heaviest at 8.3 pounds per gallon. The other liquids weigh: diesel (7.1 pounds per gallon), and propane (4.0 pounds per gallon).

Water 8.36 lb/gal.
Gasoline 6.15 lb/gal.
Diesel 6.9 lb/gal.
Coolant 8.86 lb/gal.
Propane 4.26 lb/gal
Eng. Oil 7.6 lb/gal

Sweet wine is the heaviest...The specific gravity of wine is very close to that of water. It can be a little more or a little less depending upon the type of wine. Sweet wines tend to have a higher SG, so they weigh a bit more per gallon than water, which weighs 8.34 pounds per gallon.rollinglol
