I've been reading up on options for boondocking. Safety is definitely my first consideration. I'm still not 100% sure how I feel about Wal-Marts however, a 24 hour Wal-Mart does appeal to me (I can do my shopping, too). I guess it depends on where the Wal-Mart is located; I will have to trust my gut. Now, we have boon docked at a couple of different casinos in our area in the last couple of weeks and Usually, security has you check in and there are designated parking areas because the lots are under constant surveillance and are patrolled and I felt really safe. Wanted to hear from other Newell owners about where you boon dock or if you don't mind share some advice with a newell newbie.

Thank You,

Cliff

I have stayed overnight in many Wal-Marts, casinos and Cracker Barrels with never a problem. The all night Wal-Marts and most casinos have security. Some Wal-Mars will not let you overnight due to local laws.

Boondocking is safer than most think.. If you are at a rest stop or walmart or just pulled over in the desert. I have been traveling this country since the 1960's and have had NO issues ever and know of few who have. Just take the same precautions you do with any home to secure it and you should be fine
