Prevost Debuts ‘Tools’ App for Mobile Phones When will Newell Coach Offer The Same?

Found this article interesting and I wonder when Newell Coach will offer a similar app for Newell owners.

Prevost Car Co. has introduced another mobile app which allows Prevost operators and maintenance facilities to “easily access many valuable resources,” according to a press release.

The newest Prevost app, called Prevost Tools, works with any mobile device such as Apple iOS or Android phones and tablets and allows users to link to wiring diagrams, pneumatic diagrams, technical manuals, driver’s guides and service bulletins for any Prevost or Volvo motorcoach.

The app also provides links to Prevost online warranty services, Prevost Liaison telematics system and online parts ordering.

Users can connect to the Prevost Merchandise website and Prevost Diecast Model website as well. In addition, the app contains a gallery of seated coach and motorhome images which can be downloaded or set as wall paper for the mobile device.

Prevost Director of Marketing Michael Power noted, “Prevost has always made a commitment to customer service by providing valuable tools which make our customer’s business more valuable. This new app is a natural progression which allows operators to run more efficiently and provide better service to their customer.”

The app is available in English, French and Spanish versions. Mobile device users can download the app for free at Apple’s App Store for iOS devices or Google Play for Android devices.

Joe, that is a super nice app and Newell needs to be coming this this as a standard feature on all their coaches. In fact it would not be a bad idea to offer this information as far back as they could go. People with older coaches would pay for this info in a heartbeat.

Prevost Car is really pushing ahead on many fronts and it is obvious they want to stay the Kings. Newell really needs to take notice on some things and move forward. All I ever heard before and after owning two Newell's is that the company was first on so many fronts. The only thing they seem to be first on in the last few years is the Porsche styling and the newest suspension which they got the idea from Setra. There are a lot of company's coming with new gadgets better designs and more.

Good question. It would be nice if Newell created a similar app like this. Will it come? and when? If they don't have something like this in the works they need to make some upgrades/changes quick!
