what are most of you doing for a table eating area for outside? Something portable, foldable, strong, not cheap looking.

We carry a small table that folds up with the seats inside....has a hole in the middle for an umbrella. It is made by TexSport and I think it was about $35 at WalMart and that included the umbrella. Since there's usually only the two of us, it works. They are plastic but durable. Only negative is if you're using one of the BBQs that gets hot underneath, they will scorch and if hot enough they will melt

Those are a nice option. They fold up so small and thin.

It does close up nicely doesn't it? Can anyone tell me how sturdy it is? Jon you say it works great for the grandkids, does this mean it's better for lighter people? :laugh:

They're actually pretty sturdy, but the only use we've had for it so far is overflow seating for the grand kids.

Oh okay, good to know. I won't be afraid to purchase it then because I know the grandkids can use it too. Which it most likely will also end up as their special table when they travel with us. Thanks for the reply.
