Hi All, Has anyone seen or have this option in a Newell, There is 5 bottles in a cabinet next to the sofa, one for each kind of hard stuff, each one has a pump, and on the countertop there is a set of switches one for each kind. Just put your glass under the tap and pick your flavour! I could just picture back in 77 the owner smoking a big cigar and pouring himself a shot!:bandit:

Talk about wanting convenience. Looks like something from a James Bond movie. I can see Bond sitting on the couch with his girl and asking her if she would like a drink.

In 1980 I toured the Newell factory & went for a demo ride in a new coach. It had a dispenser just like the one in the picture. Obviously, I was very impressed & never saw that dispenser again .............till today in your pictures!

I would have to guess the choices according to the switch selection must have been:

"T" or the blank one for Tequila, maybe Brandy?
"V" for Vodka
"R" for Rum, as I'm guessing this one and it is really wore off which means it was popular.
"W" for Whiskey
"S" for Scotch

Those are my guesses!:cheers:And I'm sticking to em'

Right up my ally. I need that in my Newell.

From the sounds of it Newell should consider bringing this back!

Does it still work Keith?

Ken I would say those are some pretty good guesses. :pirate:

Hi yes I was out for a cruise today and fiddled with it. The first button is the power on switch it even has a dash light, tried the buttons and the pumps work! I haven't put anything in the bottles yet.

Cool rellick what are you going to filler up with? I wonder what a unit like that cost back in the day?

I personally wouldn't load it with anything that would taint your selection, but just different selections of Scotch.
"V" for vintage
"R" for rare
"W" for wife's favorite
"S" staple (everyday)

That's too cool! You're hooked up! I think that's the coolest thing I've seen in a classic Newell.

That is pretty darn cool, as you can see Newells are fully loaded even the classics!

I guess at the next Rally Keiths coach will be the bar.
