Do you plan out meals prior to departure of a trip?
Do you just go with the flow and shop as needed each and every day?
Or do you eat out?

I was thinking it might be a good idea to plan out our weekly meals so we can save money, time and maybe our health too.

We plan and buy our food before departure of a trip. In my opinion it's easier that way. :)

My DW is an excellent cook, so she plans out our meals and makes sure that everything she needs is loaded prior to departure. One of the nicest things for me is not having to pull over to find a decent restaurant or clean restroom. Actually, why would I take my house with me and not take advantage of it?

Couldn't agree more Jon. Public restrooms are avoided whenever possible.

I travel in my coach so I don't have to resort to a hotel and eating out.

We fulltime so most meals are planned and we shop as needed like we did when we didn't live in a home on wheels. (about once a week) Living on the road traveling you can easily pull into a Walmart and pickup some groceries on the way to your next destination. We also like stopping into farmers markets all over the country. http://www.luxurycoachlifestyle.com/forum/livin-up-while-road/3385-finding-those-great-farmers-markets-while-traveling-road.html

I plan out what we eat, where we'll buy it and how much we are going to spend. ;) I'm a planner and proud of it! :aetsch:

I kill my meal and cook it. Is that a good enough answer?

We eat at home quite a bit Leeann is a great cook. We do live on a budget. So when we eat out we like to go to (Happy Hour)A lot of restaurants have happy hours so we can eat for less and they have 2 for 1 drinks.

Randy the wife and I do the same. Happy hours are a great time to take advantage of drink specials. We sometimes get an appetizer with the drinks and its enough for our evening meal. Other times we will share a meal because whenever we order our own meals we end up bringing back leftovers.

We seldom eat out. We eat the same at home as we do when out on the road in the coach. Just because the view changes doesn't mean the good home cooking does. I enjoy cooking.

We look forward to grilling out. BBQs are entertaining so that makes it even better.

We love having a cookout, potluck or a celebration dinner with friends. We make our shopping list with easy to prepare meals. When it's just the two of us we male it healthy but quick in simple. We get a little more extravagant if it's for a cookout etc.

We buy before a trip and also along the way. Depending where we are going and how long we plan to be traveling. The nice thing about traveling on the road is you don’t have to buy all of your groceries at supermarkets or big chain stores like Walmart . We like to buy food and other necessities at thrift bakeries, discount stores, dollar stores, church and charity bazaars, flea markets, roadside veggie stands, canning plants, and u-pick orchards.
