air filter brands & source

I know this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find it in search. I am getting ready to replace the air filter in my newell and have found the prices all over the board for the different brands. Can someone give me some reliable sources & prices for an air filter.

Do you have the part number for your filter? I bought mine out of NC for just under $100 with free shipping. I did a Google shopping search off the air filter number.

Have u looked here? I would stick with a Donaldson or Napa brand air filters.

Donaldson makes them for other companies as well. They are are great product like Sean stated. And there are plenty of deals on them like Jon mentioned with free shipping. I notice the last couple of places including the FilterBarn, that the boxes had shipping labels from Fastenal.com. Which seemed kind of strange, but hey the price was super right.

I just checked with filterbarn and filterpro and both are less than half of what I was paying through the local supplier. I wonder how they can sell so low?
