Ok got up this morn to leave and the leveling system never went to travel mode, it flashed a few times bbut the level light on the dash stayed on and the travel light on the hwh stayed off. Coach went to the proper height for travel drove 100 miles no issues. Any ideas? Coach also leveled fine when we got to Branson.

Maybe just a reset issue. Don't know how to do it other than power it down with key off & then turn it back on. Just a thought.

Here is an excerpt from an HWH manual I found online:
The only exception to this, at this time, is on Newell vehicles
with air leveling only. The Newell leveling system panel has
a "TRAVEL" button above the "OFF" button. The ignition
must be "ON" for the vehicle to return to the travel mode
but the system will not return to the travel mode until the
"TRAVEL" button is pushed or the park brake is released,
even if the leveling system panel is off. If the leveling
system panel is on and the ignition is in the "ON" position,
the "TRAVEL" button must be pushed to return the system
to the travel mode. Pushing the "OFF" button will only turn
the system off. When a vehicle is in the travel mode, the correct ride height is
maintained by the height control valves. the HWH system is not
used to raise or lower the vehicle when traveling. NOTE:The
"Dump" and "Raise" functions of the HWH Leveling system al-
With HWH air leveling systems, the (+12) volts to the valve
is switched while the ground for the valve is constant. All of
the valves are the same and are interchangeable.
This was done so that when the leveling
system panel is off, the ignition key could be turned on without
the vehicle returning to travel height.

Given your symptoms; that the leveling and travel actions are happening properly and the only oddity if the indicator lights, I would suspect the internal workings of the HWH controller. I would be calling HWH if these symptoms were happening to me. I'm guessing that the same circuit that turns on the travel light turns off the level light on the dash. I can find no documentation online to verify my hypothesis which leads me to call HWH.

Please let us know what you determine is the cause so the rest of us can shorten our troubleshooting cycle when this happens to us.

Well I thought it might be the Hobbs switch on the brake.. A quick call to newell service and I was given a possible alternative issue.. If the slides are not retracted all the way even though you think they are the sensor that turns on the travel light and the dash light off will not work properly. He suggested I cycle the slides with the coach running. Well idid and it fixed it. An idiot like me saved by the genius mike at Newell,
