I called Tommy Key @ Newell. The air filter is a spin on filter located in the driver's side tag wheel well. It is a spin on filter (Baldwin BA 5374) around $40. I have been changing this air dryer filter every 6 months as routine maintenance.

I was used to seeing the old style air dryer. It was silver and about 5 inches in diameter and 18 inches tall and it had fins. It was located in the driver's side of the engine compartment. The pop off valve was immediately below it.

I asked him about changing the check valve. He said that it can not be changed - if it fails the entire air dryer unit must be changed.
