Joseph, is that a Microphor toilet or another brand. If it is a Microphor electric you could have a gear that operates the door messed up. If it is a mechanical toilet (Microphors are either electric or air operated), the linkage is probably out of alignment, broken or something has wedged it. Brand and model would help in the diagnostics.
