I leave those Switches at the Rear Panel alone and Start the Coach at the Dash when using my '82. I have found those Switches to be Extremely Valuable when working on the Diesel and I would think that is the purpose of that Panel.
By the way, that area is where the Rear Terminal Strip, Circuit Breakers and Relays are located. The Relays and Circuit Breakers are for the Running, Turn and Brake Lights.
