Thanks for the info, will pull the fuse and see if that resets everything. Overheating is probably what the cause is from what most of you said. The inverter is in an interior closet, surrounded by a cabinet, which my wife stuffed with towels and such. Will remove the cabinet to generate more air movement and probably add a fan as stewart said.
Stewart, will let you know, we are thinking of moving to the Portland area, so will be making several trips.
