Right you are Don. Water is a VERY bad thing for diesel engines. I just had my preventive maintenance done at Newell and they added algaecide to both diesel tanks as a part of the PM. Very good idea to add it periodically. After adding it and driving for a while, you may want to change out the fuel filters. Joseph, if algae plugged your injector, it is probably pervasive in your fuel filters.
