When I first got my 1982 Newell the CC did not work. It was an old Dana.....the same one Steve (Prarieschooner) has, and they are no longer in business, so I replaced it immediately with an after market unit called Cruise King 2500....works great! I use CC on the Interstate as much as traffic allows.....nothing more enjoyable than just hanging on to the steering wheel and cruisin' down the road.....much more relaxing than sitting in a fixed position with my foot on the pedal. On top of that I do get better mileage, and more consistent speed.
